Oceana Restaurant & Bistro
Located in Frenchtown, Oceana Restaurant & Bistro is a top choice for seafood enthusiasts. The restaurant offers a diverse menu featuring fresh catches of the day, prepared in various styles to cater to different tastes. With a cozy ambiance and friendly staff, Oceana provides a perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a family celebration. Located in Frenchtown and sitting on the water, you’ll be impressed as you walk up the stairs, as Oceana served as the Russian Embassy in 1894 for seven years. The history is rich, along with the freshly prepared desserts.
For those seeking a taste of authentic Caribbean flavors, Amalia Café is a must-visit. This restaurant, located in historic Charlotte Amalie, offers a menu inspired by Puerto Rican and Caribbean cuisine. From mofongo to fresh ceviche or lobster, every dish at Amalia Café reflects the vibrant and diverse culinary heritage of the region. Order the Garlic Knots, they are worth the carbs!
Incredibly authentic cuisine at Virgilio’s, opened in 1988. Alongside the table side Caesar Salad (yes, it sounds cliché but when they bring the anchovies, your mouth will start singing) and the handmade manicotti and ravioli with the sauces made individually to order, you will not be disappointed. And the artwork is fantastic!
As a born and bred Texan, I know my Tex-Mex food groups! If you’re in the mood for Mexican cuisine, Agave Restaurant is the place to be and hits that deep seated need to imbibe in some tasty cuisine with a Tex-Mex flair. Located in Havensight and in Red Hook, this restaurant offers a wide selection of authentic Mexican dishes, including tacos, enchiladas, and freshly prepared guacamole. The vibrant atmosphere and extensive tequila menu make it a popular choice for both locals and tourists.
